There has been a huge fit of anger in India over Carol Gracias’s wadrobe malfunctioning which has seen the police, officials coming in to investigate and now the new twist– Rajya Sabha members leaving aside all the important topics, are debating hard over how did busters and skirts slip off?
Rajya Sabha till now was a place where our MP’s used to jostle for legroom so that they can reach the sound board so as to discuss the future of our nation. They used to discuss key issues affecting the life of millions.
However, now what should models be dressed in on the ramps and fashion shows is the real concern of Rajya Sabha – saying goodbye, leaving aside the weighty and vital issues like 27 percent reservation, and continuing strike of medicos, terrorism, and corruption. Rajya Sabha is on the go with such dim-witted debates.
The most side-splitting and disquieting factor is that a proposal was given that undergarments should be made binding for models on the catwalk. Not only this, concerned ministers expressed angst regarding the short length and tight fits of attires designed for such fashion shows. What claptrap!
This is one more example of wastage of people’s money.
