Reality shows have been a big success world over in recent times. The on going season of Strictly Come Dancing finally saw the exit of Kate Garraway who was ridiculed in regards to her dancing skills for the past seven weeks.
Luck favours the brave as it is widely said but finally Kate ran out of luck and was kicked off this hit show. The 39 year old lost out in a dance off against ex footballer John Barnes. Over the past seven weeks Kate has been accumulating lowest judge’s scores. Her exit from the show though definitely came as a surprise to many.
Kate Garraway was almost on the verge of quitting the show after her first week performance where she suffered from inflamed foot tendons. The accident prone presenters have been facing numerous injuries ever since the start which assisted her to garner many sympathy votes.
Commenting on her journey at the show, Kate said,
I’ve had the time of my life on Strictly Come Dancing. I want to thank Anton, for being such a wonderful ‘dance-husband’ but most of all the people at home who every week gave me a chance. I hope I repaid their good faith by at least being entertaining even if it often was for all the wrong reasons!. The time has come, though, for the competition to be about real dancers so I’m happy to bow out, sit back and enjoy the rest of the show. I am fitter than I was six weeks ago, can at least do a passable foxtrot and have developed a love of dancing which will never leave me. I urge everyone to find a local club and take some lessons – if I can have a crack at it, anyone can!
Kate was described as a nightmare and sexy as a coconut throughout the show. She was not amongst the favourite with the judges. Kate’s survival was almost an on-running joke where finally she has now become the seventh contestant to be voted out of the popular reality show. Celebrity reality shows have been a recent trend amongst various television channels. This form of show brings together celebrities from different fields of expertise more closer to their audiences and admirers.
