Verdict is on: TADA court held Asgar and Qureshi guilty for ’93 Plaza cinema blast

In the third verdict delievered by TADA court, Asgar Yusuf Mukadam, accused number 10, was held as guilty for the Plaza Cinema blast in 1993.

The accused no. 29 Shahnawaz Qureshi, also pronounced guilty by the court for the ’93 Plaza blast.

Mukadam, Tiger Memon’s business manager and Qureshi are charged with planting the bombs at different sites in Mumbai. They were held guilty by the court on 12 charges.

Mukadam is main accused in the blast occurred at Plaza Cinema at 3:13 pm on March 12, 1993. The blast killed 10 and injured 37 people. Property worth Rs 87 lakh was damaged.

Mukadam was one of the first arrests in the case. The charges of backing and supporting the commission of terrorist activity. They had driven and parked a van laden with RDX in the Plaza Cinema compound.
