India is witnessing a shocking disproportion between male and female birth rates for some time, and the prime culprit is -‘ultrasound technology’
This technology was invented to check the wellbeing of fetus but know is used primarily to check whether the fetus is male or female, highly disgusting!
A study has brought back the bubbling storm back by revealing that 10 million girls have gone ‘missing’ from India’s population since 1985 owing to the custom of selectively aborting female fetuses. I know its sad but its true as well.
Who is answerable for this we, law or the governing bodies?
As this situation in India is not at all caused by ignorance but the prime reason behind is the perfect blend of laws, which is ever-ready to protect the abortion rights. Then you have the pheneomenon of cultural first choice and panache for male child.
One thing that is for sure in India is that we give lame excuses for the declining female ratio to the male where as the truth is that – we just hate all things that are ‘female’.
The time is approaching when India will be an all male nation.
