India ranks as 6th dangerous country for kids after Sudan, Uganda, Congo, Iraq & Somalia

India is not a good place for children. According to the poll conducted by Reuters AlertNet, a humanitarian news website run by Reuters Foundation, India ranks as the sixth most dangerous country for children in the world.

The website, in the survey, asked to the aid experts and journalists for declaring the the most dangerous places for kids. Surprisingly, Afghanistan, Palestinian territories, Myanmar and Chechnya are judged as better place for kids than India.

Sudan, Northern Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq and Somalia are the first five dangerous countries.

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury presented the detail of the survey in Rajya Sabha.

Armed conflict, the psychological trauma, violence, poverty and child labor, malnutrition were some of the facts that have been taken into account for the poll survey.
