The MCD election has been ended and the equation in the 272- seat Town hall has been also changed after BJP’s thumping winning performance. But, the problems facing by Delhiites are still the same on the sealing issue.

On the slow implementation of the sealing drive in Delhi, Supreme Court has showed its anguish over Delhi Police and MCD. The court clearly said that there is no any coordination between the Delhi Police and MCD over the implementation of court’s order in the Capital.

The SC Bench headed by Justice Arijit Pasayat had summoned Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul and MCD Commissioner A K Nigam today to explain why there is a delay in the resumption of sealing drive even after the court’s order. The court clearly directed both departments to take immediate actions against unauthorized commercial establishments in Delhi.

On the other hand, Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul said in a written affidavit most of the Police force was deployed for the MCD elections and 14th SAARC Summit during April 3-5.

However, He also said that as much as possible police force was provided to other civic agencies as per the directions of the Monitoring Committee appointed by the Delhi High Court.

However, the MCD commissioner said in its affidavit that it was not able to continue the sealing drive on April 9 because of the non-availability of police force with MCD officers.

Now, it would interesting to see how BJP would coordinate with Delhi government to implement the Master plan 2021 and to stop the sealing drive in Delhi.
